Palais De Chine is a true beautiful contrast. A hotel that resemble European castles with qualities of antiquity and art. Located in the central district of Taipei, right above Taipei station, is this place of a splendid mix of the East and the West, designed by Ray Chen. My love for Palais De Chine hotel has lead me to stay at this hotel for the second time.
 The dim lighting and the peaceful interior of this hotel is always so soothing and relaxing. You may witness a number of `horse` artworks and objects within this place, but they are just some of owner`s many antique collections – the `horse` underlining hotel`s concept of `start your journey from here`.

「PALAIS DE CHINE HOTEL（パレデシン）君品酒店」は、アジアなのにヨーロッパにいるかのような５つ星ホテルです。著名な建築デザイナーである陳瑞憲（RAY CHEN）によって、台北市の市政府との共同プロジェクトとして建設されたホテルです。台北駅の北側に位置する大型ショッピングモールQ SQUARE（キュースクエア）に併設されており、台北駅地下街とも直結していてとても便利な立地にあります。ホテル内は雰囲気のあるライティングを使用していて、ヨーロッパの風格を漂わせるインテリア空間となっています。ホテルの至るところに現れる「馬」ですが、こちらのは「馬」はホテルオーナーの想いが詰まっていて、この「旅宿」（ホテル）から「世界中を旅をする」という意味合いを持ち、「この場所から始まる」というホテル・コンセプトでもあります。

THE ENTRANCE

Just to match the modern aesthetic of the shopping mall, `Q`s square` right beside the hotel, Palais s de Chine has a contemporary outlook. However once you step inside the dimly lit space, you will feel like you are in another dimension. These things will greet you - High ceiling, antique furniture, historical feel and a 200 years old horse called `Lady`.
 Every detail, the historical, and the artful qualities makes you feel as if you are inside a museum. 
Above the concierge, written in a special font is the word PLVS VLTRA（Plus Ultra）,
 meaning `to leap forward` , which is a message from the owner to `go beyond limit and do your best`.

エントランス - ショッピングモールを出て真隣にあるホテルの外観はとても現代的ですが、ホテル内へと足を踏み込めば、そこはまるで別世界。高い天井と高価な馬の像が出迎えてくれます。LADY（レディ）という名の展示されている「馬」は２００歳以上だそう。ホテルオーナーの好みで、コンシェルジュにある本棚をはじめ、ホテル内にはヨーロッパの歴史や芸術の要素をインテリアから感じられます。コンシェルジュの上部にあるラテン語の表記「PLVS VLTRA（PLUS ULTRA プラス・ウルトラ）」は、「もっと先へ」、「もっと向こうへ」、「更なる前進」という意味を示しています。「何事も限界を超えるべき！」というオーナーの想いから、この言葉が飾られているようです。

THE LOBBY

Displayed with chandeliers and other antique pieces, the lobby is a spacious museum. Business center is located just opposite the reception counter which is open 24 hours. The  calm and quiet lobby on the 6th floor welcomes you peacefully.

ロビー岩肌を思い浮かばせるような壁面や、シャンデリアなどが飾られていて、
まるでヨーロッパの古城のようなロビー空間。レセプションには日本語が話せるスタッフが常時配置されているため、日本人観光客は安心したホテルステイができます。

THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR

The executive floor on the 14th to 16th floor is just even more of a serene place to be with a petit library in the middle of the hallway. I found some classic collection of art and history books.

エグゼクティブフロアの廊下は14階～16階に位置していて、落ち着きある色調のライティングを使用しているので、とても癒されます。廊下の途中の図書室もクラシック（オーナーのコレクションである美術や各国の歴史に関連した本や雑誌が置かれていて自由に読むことができます）。

DELUXE SUITE ROOM

The spacious 37㎡ Executive Deluxe room is well designed with an ambiance full of mood and calmness, having only the rotating mirror define the areas between the bedroom and the bath area. On the modern technology side, there are bose speakers in the room as well as a stable wifi connection. Fresh berry juice and a pink colored macaron were prepared as a welcome dessert.

デラックス・スイート   -   14階の「EXECUTIVE DELUXE（エグゼクティブデラックス）」のお部屋は広さ37㎡で、こちらのお部屋は、温かみある木材が使用されていて落ち着きのある空間…部屋の真ん中のデスクスペースには大きな半回転型鏡が設置。
館内（室内はもちろん）は無料のWI-FIが設けられています♪
エグゼクティブロアの客室スピーカーは「BOSE」♪ウェルカムデザートはシャンパンのようなフレッシュジュースとピンクのマカロン♡

BATHROOM

A luxurious looking bath tub with a view of the entire room…
 Pink cotton tips, bath robes, and even a pink toilet paper is found in the `PINK` room.


バスエリア   -   オープンな空間をエンジョイできるバスエリアには丸い形をした深いバスタブ♪「ピンク」がコンセプトのお部屋には、ピンクルームにはピンク色の綿棒、ピンクのバスローブやピンク色のトイレットペーパーが備えられています♪

Subtle scented amenities to enjoy as well.. I especially appreciated the soap which had a mixed scent of lemongrass and bergamot, very fresh and healing.
 A well known skincare brand facial masks and lotions were also available.

可愛らしいボトルに入ったシャンプー、コンディショナー、ボディワッシュ。
石鹸も形が可愛くて香りも最高♡　全てすっきりとしたオリジナルの香り（レモングラスのような、ベルガモットのような香り）。他にもミキモトのフェイスマスクやスキンケア用品も用意されていました。

BUFFET STYLE BREAKFAST

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served here on the 6th floor. I enjoyed breakfast one morning here with a variety of menus from all over the world to choose from.. everything from healthy salads and dim sims to delicious desserts to enjoy !

ビュッフェ・スタイルの朝食   -    ブレックファーストはビュッフェスタイルです！　朝食・ランチ・ディナーはこちらの６階にあるダイニングエリアでエンジョイできます。世界各国のバラエティ豊富な食べ物が楽しめるブレックファーストでした。

LE SALON – VIP LOUNGE

The most peaceful room exists on the 17th floor with more of the owner`s antique collection displayed. Breakfast is served in this area too for those who prefer to have a quiet morning along with the morning sun. Interesting magazines and books can be found on the table and the bookshelf too. The salon turns itself into a luxurious bar during the night.

VIPラウンジ「LE SALON（ル・サロン）」 

ホテル最上階となる17階にはエグゼクティブラウンジLE SALON（ル・サロン）があり、こちらにはオーナーの愛するアンティーク・コレクションの一部が飾られています。ラウンジでは朝食をとることもでき、朝の光を浴びながら静かな朝食を取りたい方にはおすすめです。静かな夜を過ごしたい方はラウンジでお酒と夜景を楽しめます。

THE GYM  |  TEA PLACE  |  LE PALAIS

If your`re interested in using the gym, it is also on the 17th floor where you could enjoy a pretty view of Taipei while running on the machine. Le palais restaurant, also to be found on this floor is a five star Cantonese Restaurant.. Tea is served at your request too just out side the restaurant.

ル・サロンやジムに並び、ホテル最上階となる17階には、ジムや最高級の広東料理がいただける中華レストラン「LE PALAIS（ル・パレ）頤宮」があります。レストランのエントランス付近にはお茶をリクエストできるコーナーも．．．

Palais de Chine exudes a calming scent which seemed like a blend of pine tree and lavender. I recommend you to stay at this tranquil sanctuary full of wonder and history while you are in Taipei.
 You will definitely enjoy the contrast this place has to offer..
